I have been going to MVC boxing Association for a few years now and I love it!! I have gained so much enjoyment, self fulfilment and muscle tone. As I woman I don’t think I have ever felt more empowered in all my life! MVC Boxing is not like your regular run of the mill gym, from the moment you set foot inside the atmosphere is just so welcoming and inviting. Everyone I have met at MVC is lovely, and so encouraging from the founders to the trainers and the fellow boxers – not that I can call myself that yet, but I live in hope.
After having a baby I felt uncomfortable going back to my previous boxing gym due to their clientele and was gratefully recommended to MVC by a friend - 9 years on and I'm still loving it more than ever. The trainers are encouraging, passionate, the clientele non-judgemental and in a supportive culture. My daughters now attend giving them a sense of strength and empowerment. Not only do I feel stronger and fitter physically - mentally I'm clearer and present particularly after an early morning class .. I'm ready for the day ahead. Life is busy .. stop making excuses - you won't regret it.
What really stands out to me about training at MVC is the welcome, the culture and people there. The trainers are excellent; they push you to do your best but have a great sense of humour. I also really like the mix of different people from a three time Australian champion boxer across to those that are there just to get fit and feel better about themselves. I have learnt a lot in training at MVC.
We are fully equipped with a full size ring surrounded by floor to ceiling bags, punching bags, exercise bikes, rowing machines, weights, treadmill, skipping ropes, mats, ropes, amenities including showers .. the list goes on.
